Evaluations

We caught up with Summerville for the first time this high school season at the Moneyball Classic at Holt High School today, in a heated battle vs Waverly. Summerville had a quite first quarter but controlled the tempo of the game. Even though he struggled to find points, he still demanded accountability from the defense. At the start of the second quarter Summerville came out shooting putting up 13 of his teams 21 points to finish out the first half. In a physical second half Keyshawn stayed calm late in the game, shooting 5 of 7 at the line. With seconds to go in the 4th, he made a clutch baseline layup to take the game into overtime. Summerville finished the game with 28 points.

Summerville went to work at the BCAM Reaching Higher Team Camps 2024 this weekend on the campus of Grand Valley State University. In the 3 games we were able to catch Summerville, he averaged 29.7 PPG, 5.2 AST & 2.3 STLS. Keyshawn Summerville is an explosive player who continually defies the challenges that traditionally come with being under 6 foot. His speed and ball handling skills will keep any defender honest making him nearly unstoppable in a full court pressure situation. With the ball up court, Summerville becomes a whole new threat to the defense. His precision passing and ability to create space puts the defense on their heels allowing him to pull up from anywhere on the court or quickly cut to the lane. Again, size aside he has shown his ability to finish at the basket against heavy contact. Simply put, a hypothetical 6’3″ Keyshawn Summerville is a top 20 prospect in the country, currently he is a great addition to almost any Div. 1 roster in the country.

Nothing beats an in person 4 man workout during the football season. Today, we had a chance to catch Summerville training with teammates during a private session. In the off season, Keyshawn brought his college offer total to 5, with the addition of a Division 1 Cleveland State offer this past August. With the regular season fast approaching, the fire in Summerville’s eyes is obvious. Since the BCAM Team Camp this past June, Keyshawn has put on some noticeable size, gaining an inch this past offseason. With the season fast approaching, we expect to see a record breaking season for Summerville with conference, regional & State honors. With 625 career points headed into his junior season, Summerville is on track to hit his 1,000 point mark during the last weeks of January, 2025.
