Lansing Sexton Point Guard Delivers Big Plays and Strong Numbers at GVSU

This past weekend at the BCAM Reaching Higher Team Camp at Grand Valley State University, Lansing Sexton’s Keyshawn Summerville (Class of 2026) turned in a standout performance that confirmed why he’s one of the top guards in Michigan’s 2026 class.

In a high-energy game against Grand Rapids Christian, Summerville came through in the clutch, scoring the game-tying layup in regulation and knocking down the game-winning free throw in sudden death overtime to secure a 52–51 win for Sexton.

Across four games, Summerville averaged 27 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals. He was quick, aggressive and efficient, never forcing shots and consistently creating offense out of ball screens. He scored from all three levels and showed poise with the ball in his hands. His understanding of pace and his ability to make plays for others stood out all weekend.

Defensively, there’s room for growth. While he has active hands and the speed to stay in front, bringing the same energy on defense as he does on offense will elevate his impact and help him become a more complete two-way player.

At 5′11″, Summerville may not have ideal size, but his court vision, leadership, and clutch gene more than make up for it. He already holds offers from Kent State, Cleveland State, Northwood, Central State and Youngstown. His performance at BCAM should continue to draw interest from college programs looking for a smart, high-IQ point guard who can score and lead.
