#7 Lansing Waverly 74, Zeeland East 72 – Waverly Warriors Varsity played Zeeland tonight in a battle. Warriors came out hard in the 1st half staying ahead of the Zeeland Chix. At halftime, Warriors were up 43-36. Zeeland made up points in the 2nd with several 3 pts shots to tie up the game in the last 2 minutes of the game. The Warriors and Chix battled the last few seconds of the game, with the Warriors pulling ahead with Derek Thomas hitting 2 FT’s with 2 seconds left. The Final score was 74-72. Deunte Phifer and Derek Thomas were top scorers, both tied with 24 pts each. Warriors record is now 5-2. – Waverly Warriors Boys Basketball Program

#2 Okemos 58, #1 DeWitt 47 – Dewitt took control of the game early ending the first quarter up 3. Going into the half, the Walton brothers powered their way in the paint evening up the score. After 3 Okemos had a 5 point lead. Okemos controlled the paint and Dewitt took care of business outside the perimeter. Halfway through the 4th Okemos’s size was to much for Dewitt.
